Tartuffe

Written by Molière and adapted by Christopher Hampton….
directed by Joan Moriarty

Tartuffe, a pious hypocrite, has wheedled his way into the wealthy family of Monsieur Orgon. Orgon, totally besotted by Tartuffe’s charms, plans to give him not only his fortune, but his daughter’s hand in marriage. “It’s a Wonderful Life” – Live from the studio of WBFR in Rosanna, Melbourne. July 5-20, 2019.

Director Terese Maurici’s dynamic team really step up to the plate for this one!

It’s a Wonderful Life [A live radio play]

By Joe Landry – directed by Terese Maurici.

Dynamic performances by a cast – most of whom are changing character every few minutes. One minute we love them, the next, we are affronted by the character’s behaviour – a serious acting challenge in anyone’s book.  George Bailey’s dilemma is delivered with song, colour, and convincing dialogue. With one exception, the community of Bedford Falls look like a nice bunch of folk.

Should you get the opportunity to see this production – based on the classic James Stewart film and performed as a 1940s live radio style with a studio audience – it scores pretty well with the heart strings! An absolute “must-see”.

By Joe Landry – directed by Terese Maurici.

This is the tale of George Bailey – a man who’d given up his own dreams in order to help others. He plans to commit suicide on Christmas Eve but his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody, appears and intervenes. Clarence shows him all the lives he, George, has touched and how very different life in his Bedford Falls community would be if George had never been born.

Inspired by the classic American film starring James Stewart, this production is performed 1940s live radio style with a studio audience. A fully immersive experience that will have you leaving the theatre full of love and joy.

“Private Lives” – Love or lust, marriage and divorce, you love me, you don’t – a tangled web ….. at Heidelberg Theatre. 6 – 21 July, 2018

Private Lives2

PRIVATE LIVES

by arrangement with Origin Theatrical, on behalf of Samuel French Limited

written by Noël Coward

directed by Karen Wakeham

Divorced, but still in love, Elyot and Amanda are newly married to Sibyl and Victor. Honeymoons for both couples at the same hotel prompt Elyot and Amanda to re-discover one another. They run away to Paris. Victor and Sibyl give chase.  This plot-perfect marital farce by Noël Coward is a sparklingly witty and wickedly vicious theatrical favourite.   ( Text by Chris McLean – Posters & Programme).
