Chekhov’s “Three Sisters”: The Prosorov sisters have a vision of their future that proves to be decidedly illusive as Revolution beckons in their idyllic provincial home. Chekhov takes us through evolving attitudes, relationships and lifestyles in early 20th century Russia.

Three Sisters: Before the HTC cast get to grips with the storm clouds of Revolution, the actors have to immerse themselves in this extraordinary script. All thoughts of a convincing performance are being converted into a powerful reality, mirroring Chekhov’s vision of early 20th century Russia. Doubtless, the intervening 100 years poses many challenges in coming to grips with a culture soon to be swept away.
